At The Angler’s El Dorado, my vision is to create the ultimate Fishcation, an unforgettable adventure that combines world-class fishing, luxury comfort, and the rich history of the Bay of Islands.

I want to share this iconic destination with the world, attracting visitors from across New Zealand and beyond. Whether it’s a seasoned angler from overseas or a local looking to experience the Bay in a whole new way, every guest deserves an experience that’s seamless, exciting, and catered to their dream.

Through this business, I also aim to support and grow tourism in Northland. By partnering with trusted Northland businesses, I want to showcase our regions strengths, and build a community that comes back year after year.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

LEO FISHER

Growing up in the Bay of Islands, with the last name Fisher, it was pretty inevitable that the ocean would become a big part of my life. Ask anyone who knows me, and they'll tell you, I have always been hooked on fishing.

Coming into High School I was introduced to a class called Young Enterprise Scheme, also known as YES. This was were I was first introduced into the world of Business and Entreprenuership.

With support from teachers and mentors I founded The Anglers El Dorado. Built with one simple goal, to share the magic of the bay with others. I created this all inclusive experience so you can simply show up and enjoy.

This is more than just a business to me. It's a way for me to share what I love, support tourism in my community, and help others experience the paradise that I get to call home.
